The series, launched as part of the Marvel NOW! initiative, features a lethal strike force led by General "Thunderbolt" Ross (Red Hulk). This specific collection (Issues #1–15) covers the team's formation and their first major global missions. Team Roster
The team deals with the fallout of Ross's attempt to expose The Leader to Red Gamma radiation. Tensions rise as the individual members—all used to working alone—struggle with team dynamics and Ross's secretive "mission-based" leadership style.
The team assembles to take down a dictator in the country of Kata Jaya . The mission is personal for Ross, involving a particle accelerator and a past mistake he aims to rectify. They also work to recover the digital mind of The Leader from his brother, Madman.
