After being exiled to the Mushroom Planet in the first film, (Jim Carrey) escapes with the help of Knuckles the Echidna (Idris Elba). Knuckles is the last of his kind and seeks the legendary Master Emerald , an ancient relic capable of turning thoughts into reality. He believes Sonic has a connection to the emerald's whereabouts and forms an uneasy alliance with the doctor to find it. Sonic and Tails Team Up
The journey takes them from the snowy mountains of Siberia to the tropical islands of Hawaii, where the human subplots converge with the main action. Left alone in Green Hills while (James Marsden and Tika Sumpter) attend a wedding in Hawaii, Sonic is suddenly attacked by the duo.
